Hindhead Golf Club and Farnham Lions, Charity of the Year 2023.

The Captains of Hindhead Golf Club, Geoff Sullivan and Alison Hays, selected the Hunter Centre as their chosen charity for 2023.

A cheque for £31,586 was presented, representing the total amount raised by them during the year.

Of this sum £9,761 was raised by the Farnham Lions at their golf day, held annually at Hindhead. While the Hunter Centre is located in Haslemere it provides care and support to people in all the neighbouring towns in Waverley; just under 20% of clients come from Farnham and it’s surrounding villages.

The monies raised will be used to support and increase the services provided by the Hunter Centre. This will include:- making the centre itself more energy efficient; increasing activities for the clients and their carers; and making Haslemere and the local area more aware of dementia, it’s symptoms, and the part the Hunter Centre can play.
